Iran feature in the running at Sao Paulo Int'l Filmfest

Iranian feature ‘Tehran: City of Love’ is currently screening at the Sao Paulo International Film Festival in Brazil.

Directed by Ali Jaber-Ansari, the feature is in competition at the International Perspective section of the Brazilian film festival.

The 102-minute film follows the stories of Mina, who is unhappy about her weight, Hessam, a retired bodybuilder who trains older men, and Vahid, who sings at funerals and weddings. These three dispirited individuals are looking for warmth and connection in the megacity of Tehran.

Forough Ghajabagli, Mehdi Saki, Amir Hessam Bakhtiari and Behnaz Jafari are some of the cast members of the flick.

The São Paulo International Film Festival, which is internationally known as Mostra, is an annual film event held in the city of São Paulo, Brazil.

The 43rd edition of the event kicked off on October 17 and it is slated to wrap up on October 30, 2019.
